Edith is survived by her two sons, Robert D. (Henri) Wade, and Ronald Hahn (Susan) Wade, all of Aiken; grandchildren, Ellen (Doug) Parry, Swannanoa, NC, Benton Wade, Asheville, NC, Andrew Wade, & Katherine Wade, Aiken; nieces Pat Wadford, Nancy Price, Beverly Mitchell; nephews, Steve & Mike Hahn.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Wade & Gary Anderson, Jr.; her parents; brother, Herman Hahn, Jr.; twin sister Christine Ropp.
Mrs. Anderson was an active lifetime member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, serving on the Care Team, Altar Guild, and Deliverer of Flowers to Parishioners. She was a past President of Pine Needle Garden Club, and loved her weekly Wednesday bridge group. She also was retired after many years of service at Farmers and Merchants Bank.
An avid equestrian, she taught many Aikenites to ride as well as swim. She enjoyed many happy times at the Outing Club and Aiken sporting events. She was a gifted gardener, a terrific cook, and a cherished friend.
Interment followed funeral services held at the St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, Wednesday, April 13, 2011; Rev. Grant Wiseman officiating.
Pallbearers were Benton Wade, Andrew Wade, Doug Parry, Gary Anderson III, Bob Anderson, & Ash Milner.
