Mrs. Devitt was a homemaker and was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, American Legion Auxilary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilary. She was a 1938 New Market High School graduate.
She was born Nov. 29, 1919 at Parke County to Cecil and Anna Warner Morgan. She married Lawrence J. Devitt on March 22, 1946 at Crawfordsvillle. He died in 1992.
Survivors include daughter, Judy(Paul)Pfledderer, Crawfordsville; son Charles Kym Devitt, Crawfordsville; brother, Carroll Morgan, Crawfordsville; sister, maxine Eminger, Kendalville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, John and Clayton Morgan, a sister, Dorothy Breedlove, and a grandson are deceased.
Funeral services are 3 pm Sunday in Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with the Rev. Paul Graf officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call noon -3 pm Sunday in the funeral home. A memorial Mass will be 9 am July 11 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center Chapel, Lafayette.
