Mrs. Blanche Rodgers
Mrs. Blanche Rodgers, 83, 1503 Wilmington Ave., (Sunny Crest Trailer Court) died in the Jameson Memorial Hospital Thursday at 10:05 a.m. after a lingering illness. Born in Plain Grove Twp., Oct. 18, 1877, daughter of George and Nancy Green Hamilton, she was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of New Castle. Her husband, Edwin Rodgers, whom she wed Sept. 21, 1905, died on Oct. 22, 1958. Surviving are on daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Harriet) Hughes, New Wilmington RD 1; sons, Fred, New Galilee, RD 1; Howard, New Castle; Clyde, Los Angeles; Audley, Mercer RD 8; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. from the Sharp Funeral Home, New Wilmington, with Rev. W. Ross Byers officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
