NEWSPAPER ARTICLE - Tuesday Evening, September 29, 1857 Albany Journal - Albany, New York - The People of the State of New York, to Nancy Calkins, widow, and to Erwin Calkins, WIlliam Calkins, Esther Lattimore wife of Benjamin Lattimore, and Nelson Calkins, of Brownsville, Jefferson county; and Riley Calkins, Maria Moore wife of Seneca Moore, and Nancy Arnold wife of Nathan Arnold, of Pulaski, Oswego county; and Huldah Paddock wife of John Paddock, of Mayfield, Fulton county, all in the state of New York, and Olive King wife of Jeptha King of Groveport, Franklin county, Ohio; Saloma Root wife of Chauncey Root, of Durand, Bear Creek, near Reeds Landing, Minnesota; Seth Calkins, Jr., of Jacksonville, Monroe county, Wisconsin; and Samuel Calkins, of Byron, Ogle county, Illinois, consisting all the next of kin and heirs at law of Seth Calkins, late of the town of Brownsville in the county of Jefferson and state of New York, deceased, send greeting: Whereas, Frances Forbes, the executor named in the last will and testament of the said Seth Calkins, deceased, has lately applied to our surrogate of our county of Jefferson to have the said will proved, as a will of real and personal property, in pursuance of the statute in such case made and provided; you and each of you are therefore cited and required personally to be and appear before out said surrogate at his office in the village of Watertown, in the county of Jefferson, on the 9th day of November next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to attend the probate of the said last will and testament. In testimony whereof, we have caused the seal of office of our said surrogate to be hereunto affixed. Witness James R. A. Perkins, surrogate of the said county of Jefferson, at Watertown, the 19th day of September, 1857.
