Alberta Gertrude Masters Williams is the daughter of William Marinus and Sadie Idsenga Masters who were converts to the LDS church and immigrants from The Netherlands. She was born at home on July 19, 1917.
She grew up in Utah and graduated from Ogden High School.

Alberta was married to Robert C. Williams son of Percival Warner and Ivy Blair Williams on October 3, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Elder David O. McKay. They made their home in Ogden where they reared their two daughters, Karen (Willes) Thorne of Orem and Susan (Larry) Sawyer of West Point, Utah.

Alberta worked for many years as a book keeper until her daughters were born. She was active in the LDS church serving in leadership callings in both the Primary and the Relief Society. She was a wonderful cook and was appreciated for the beautiful flowers she grew in her yard each year.

Alberta died on September 11, 2006 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah after a procedure to relieve back pain. She was 84 years old.
