Hale Adams, 87, of Boscobel, died on Wednesday, July 29, 1992, in the Memorial Nursing Home.
Mr. Adams was born May 12, 1905, in Wyoming Valley, rural Spring Green, the son of Charles and Kitty (LeVake) Adams. He was married to Florence Shore on Jan. 15, 1927, in Muscoda. She preceded him in death on July 30, 1976. He was a licensed cheese and butter maker for 25 years; working for Schmitt Brothers and the Borden Company. He also owned and operated his own trucking company, and drove truck for Wunnicke Transfer Company.
Survivors include five sons, Richard (Marlene) Adams of Bagley, Charles (Irene) Adams of Blue River, Erling (Vicky) Adams of Evansville, David (Jane) Adams of Woodbridge, Va., Douglas (Mary Annette) Adams of Janesville; three daughters, Mary Hudson and Nancy (Rodney) Cunningham, both of Blue River, Laura M. (Jim) Wayne of Janesville; a sister, Carolyn (George) Frye of Carol Stream, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Carol Adams of Red Wing, Minn., and Kathryn Adams of Milwaukee; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Thomas, John, Hank and Dean; a sister, Kathryn Moore; a granddaughter, Maria Adams; and a son-in-law, Bill Hudson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 1, in the United Methodist Church in Blue River. Duane Thomas officiated. Burial was in the Blue River Cemetery. Godager Funeral Home, Blue River, was in charge of arrangements.
