Actress. Born in Lebanon, Missouri, she made her stage debut in the 1931 Provincetown Playhouse production of "Precedent". She went to New York, 1935-43, appearing almost continuously on stage in a half-dozen plays. She made her screen debut in "No Greater Love" (1943), returning to the stage in "Last Stop" (1944) and "Signature' (1945). She later participated in "The Crucible" (1953), "Orpheus Descending" (1957) and "The Ballad of the Sad Cafe" (1963). Uncredited film credits included "Young Man with a Horn" (1950) and "The Producers" (1968). For television she appeared on "The Honeymooners," "The Defenders," "The Nurses," and "Westinghouse Theatre."
