Adecia married Ferdinand Lawrence Hearn 3 Dec 1844 in Morgan Co., GA. The Morgan Co. will of Hardage Mattox (1778-1851) names "my daughter Adecia".

Adecia's children with Ferdinand were:

Elizabeth Amanda: 1845-1915
Richard Lawrence: about 1847- after 1910
Samuel Columbus: 1852-1918
E. Malissa: 1855-1926
Josephine Ella: May 1858-1930
Charles Fuller: 1861-1912
Lonnie: 1865-1898(?)
Quincy Allen: 1868-1895

Adecia "Daisy" was a homemaker; she may have also taught school, although this is not mentioned on census records. She died sometime between June 16, 1900 and the time when the 1910 census was enumerated. At the time of the last census to name her (1900) she was living with her daughter Josephine Ella and her son in-law Rubin Burns in Frost, Navarro County, Texas. She was 74 at the time. Her son Charles Fuller Hearn was living nearby in Dawson, Navarro County, Texas. His 1913 obituary names him as Mayor of Dawson, but does not give the years of his service.
