Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Anita Davidshofer, age 88, who died Friday at the Assumption Home. Burial will be 9:30 a.m. in the MN State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN on Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
A visitation for Anita will be from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. TODAY at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Visitation will continue from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home.
Anita was born in Wabasha, MN to Bernard and Mary (Mars) Passe. She was united in marriage to Allyn Davidshofer. Anita worked at Franklin, a nursing home in Paynesville and ran the Mossy Bay Resort in Richmond. She loved to work in her garden, sewing, baking, playing the organ and was on a bowling league. Anita was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #455 and St. Boniface Christian Women.
Survivors include her son, David Davidshofer; brother, Raymond; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allyn Davidshofer; children, Gary Davidshofer, Joseph Davidshofer; brothers, Joseph, Martin and Richard; sisters, Wilhelmina Hanson, Catherine Krause and Christine Schmidt.
