Jerry Weaver of 723 1/2 7th Ave. Altoona, Pa. who observed his 86th birthday on Dec 3 in the Altoona Hospital died at the institution at 7:45 o'clock this morning after an extended illness; He had been a patient in the hospital for the past twelve weeks.

Jeremiah Weaver was born in the Bald Eagle Valley on Dec. 3 1851, Son of John and Nancy (Nearhoof) Weaver, but had resided for more than 50 years in Altoona. He had retired from active life, his last position having been that of custodian at the P.O.S of Altoona Home.

Mr. Weaver was twice married, his first wife Mrs. Henrietta Woomer died in 1904. On May 20, 1908 he married Miss Etta Hamilton. Surviving are his wife, 4 daughters, 1 son, Mrs. Iona Keller, Mrs. Nannie Haverty, Mrs. Myrtle Walker, Mrs. Virtie Stitzel, Elmer Weaver all of Altoona.

There are 27 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 bro. and 2 sisters, Samuel Weaver St. College, 2 sisters.

Mr. Weaver was a member of the 8th Ave Methodist Church and the Beran Bible class of the Sunday School, was a member of the P.O.S of A Camp No. 49 and of the junior mechanics council No. 472.

The body may be viewed at the Tobias Laughlin funeral home. He is buried in the Bald Eagle Valley Cemetary.
