George Moslander, 75 years old, a pioneer resident of Andrews, died Monday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock. His demise was due to organic heart trouble. During the last three months he had been ailing but not until two weeks ago did he become bedfast. Since then his decline was steady. Relatives were at his bedside at the time of death.

George Moslander was born March 8, 1836. When the call was issued for volunteers in the Civil War, Mr. Moslander was one of the first to respond. He served throughout the war and, after receiving his honorable discharge, went to Andrews, where he had lived since. It was there he was married. His wife survives him.

Surviving besides the wife are seven children, Mrs. Nina Shaffer of Dayton, Mrs. Nora Warren of Union City, Asa Moslander of Ottawa, Ill., Mrs. H. W. Elser of Huntington, Mrs. Addie Swear of Cincinnati, Mrs. Rosie Bennett of Cincinnati, and William Moslander of Athens, Okla.

Mr. Moslander was a lifelong member of the Christian Church of Andrews. He was a member of the G.A.R., in which he had always been an active worker.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Andrews Christian Church. It is probable the Rev. Elmer Ward Cole of Huntington will officiate. Interment will be in the Andrews cemetery.
