Jane Kelsey Steeh, age 87, of Mount Clemens passed away Saturday morning at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1923 to William and Gladys (Hatt) Kelsey in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

Mrs. Steeh graduated with a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan.

Jane married George C. Steeh on March 3, 1973.

She was a long standing member of Grace Episcopal Church in Mount Clemens.

As the first director, she was instrumental in developing the Victim Witness Unit through the Macomb County Prosecutors Office.

Surviving is her husband of 38 years, George C. Steeh; children, Carol Miller, Jacob Fahrner and Fred Fahrner; step children, Judy Steeh, George C. Steeh III, Richard Steeh, Reverend Edward Steeh and Bob Steeh; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Jane loved traveling the world with her husband George. She also loved spending time with her extended family.

Visiting hours at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens will be from 2 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:00), Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church (NE corner of Church and Main), Mount Clemens with Reverend Susan Bock officiating.

Private burial will follow at Clinton Grove Memorial Park, Clinton Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church.
