Ann Cook McCoy Scales (1917 - 2011)
Ann Cook McCoy Scales, a devoted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, June 6, 2011, after a brief illness. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday in Chapel East of Sparkman Hillcrest Mausoleum, the Rev. Judy Frizzell officiating. Private family interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Memorials: The family requests that expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, be made to Park Cities Baptist Church Fund for Global Missions, 3933 Northwest Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75225.
She was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Atoka, Okla., to I.L. and Mabel Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee H. McCoy. The family expresses its sincere gratitude to the staff and companions of Caruth Haven Court and the personnel of Hospice Plus, all of whom showed great care to Ann in her final months.
Survivors: Her daughter, Nancy McCoy Philputt; her son-in-law, Frederick C. Philputt; her grandchildren, Jenna Bovermann (Carl) and Robert Enas (Dianne); great-granddaughters, Nicole, Sarah and Emily Ann Enas and Abbie and Grace Ann Bovermann. She is also survived also by her niece, Carolyn Cook Orner; and the family of her second husband, the late Dr. Robert S. Scales.
