He was born on November 18, 1888 in Syracuse, Utah to Joseph and Mary Jane Oliver Hadfield.
He married Mabel O Smith on June 10, 1914 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died on January 16, 1977.
He was a charter member of the Box Elder County Posse and a past member of the Box Elder County Farm Bureau and Turkey Growers Association.
He was a Seventy in the Belmont Second LDS Ward and had been a Scoutmaster. He filled a Stake Mission and had served as a member of the Sunday School Presidency.
Surviving are a son and daughters, Ross S Hadfield, Meridian, Idaho; Mrs Arlene H Reveal, Bridgeport, California; Mrs Bruce (Fay) Geary, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs Douglas E (Doris) Roche, Garland, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brothr and sister, M Ralph Hadfield, California; and Mrs Hazel VanLeuven, Downey, Idaho.
Burial was held in the Riverside Cemetery, Riverside, Utah.
