Garnett Grodzensky
Garnett (Besecker) Grodzensky, age 98, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 9:23 p.m. June 8, 2011, at the Gade Health Care Center in Greenville.

She was born Aug 17, 1912, in Gettysburg, Ohio, and the daughter of the late Frank and Ola (Eshelman) Myers.

Garnett retired in 1978 from Wieland's Jewelry Store and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, a 50-plus-year member and Past Worthy Matron of the Fort Greenville Chapter of the Order of the Easter Star, member of the Home Extension Club of Greenville and the Treaty City Shuffleboard Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Delvor Besecker in 1970; her second husband, Robert Grodzensky in 2001; daughter, Linda Wehrley; brothers Vohn Myers and John Myers; sisters Opal Myers, Maxine Myers and Lena Van Horn.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Gail Besecker of Greenville, Ohio, and stepdaughter Judy Grodzensky of Cincinnati. Also six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with the Rev. Dr. John Person officiating. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Monday in the funeral home. It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Darke County Cancer Association or the First Presbyterian Church. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.zecharbailey.com
