FUNERAL OF W. B. FOUNTAIN

Services And Burial Were At Colony Saturday— He Was 79 Years Old.

Funeral services for William B. Fountain of Colony, who died at 12:30 ' o'clock Wednesday morning of last week, were at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Colony, conducted by the Rev. George Baskett of Wyaconda. Burial was in the Colony Cemetery beside the graves of two sons.

Mr. Fountain, 79 years old, was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of Knox County. He died at the Gibson Hospital in Edina, where he was taken after becoming ill early Tuesday morning of last week. He was a son of W. W. and Sophia McReynolds Fountain and was born May 10, 1872.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sedona Cox Fountain, and two sons, Serrell Fountain of Knox City and Nolan Fountain of Wyaconda, and sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. There are left also a brother Charles Fountain, of LaBelle and a sister, Mrs. Nettie Brumback of Phoenix, Ariz. One son, Walter Fountain, was killed in World War I and another son, Gilbert Fountain, also preceded his father in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Werner of Fairfield, Iowa, and Mrs. James Kelly and Mr. and Mrs. Al Giltner of Kansas City and Mrs. Clifford Black of Tonganoxie, Kan., and Mr. and Mrs. Jake E. Klataske of Des Moines, Iowa and Pfc. Delmer Fountain of Fort Sheridan, Ill., attended the funeral from away.
