William Acree, 74, of Green County, Ky. died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at Medco of Bowling Green Nursing Home in Bowling Green, Ky. Son of the late Perry and Etta Clark Acree, he was born in Green County on July 3, 1931. He was a member of Center United Methodist Church, James F. Keel Masonic Lodge #320 and Edmonton Eastern Star. He was a U.S Army veteran of the Korean War. He was married to Glenna Stotts Acree on April 3, 1954. She survives. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Les and Denise Acree and Tim and Tina Acree; all of Green County; two grandchildren, Jeremy Acree and Jennifer Acree, both of Green County; a brother, Dewey Acree of Greensburg; three sisters, Kay South, Margaret Steinway and Mae Burton, all of Dayton, Ohio; and his mother-in-law, Tara Stotts of Greensburg, Ky. Funeral was Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Rev. Brent Riddle officiated. Burial was in Asbury Center Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Ky. Pallbearers were Troy Davis, Jeff Davis, Robert Davis, Jerry Arnett, Steve Ennis and Curtis Gene Atwell.
