Warren G Cantrell worked on this family years ago. This is what he wrote:

E L Cantrell born Dec 22, 1822 in Green Co KY where he was reared, married, reared a family and died.
He married Adeline Risen and she stated in the 1900 census that thirteen children had been born to her and nine were living
Mr. Cantrell also stated that in E L's will he had wanted the children who were buried in the Bale cemetery to have their graves well marked and to be moved to the family plot in the Holly Grove Cemetery but apparently that did not happen.

Adeline Cantrell vs E. L. Cantrell
Very interesting court case in Vol 6 of Green Co KY Abstracts of Circuit Court Records, pg 56-61, compiled by Barbara Wright. The case was alleging mistreatment by her husband and asking for a divorce. Testimony by John Elmore, Mary Rizen, Thomas Raffety, and Hannah Rizen (Adeline's mother).
