Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Pape funeral home. Rev. M.S. Bredow will conduct services there Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Born April 20, 1872, in Elk River township he was the son of Frank S. and Susan Perou Van Doren. He was married to Christina Behr in Clinton, July 1, 1896. The couple farmed in Camanche from 1907 to 1939, when he retired and moved to Clinton. His wife preceded him in death in April, 1941.
He is survived by two daughters, Miss Katherine Van Doren and Mrs. LeRoy (Elsie) Wilden, both of Clinton; a son, Peter, of near Clinton; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Susie Harridge also preceded him in death.
