Daughter of Charles Raymond Gresham of Edgefield Co., SC and Beulah Louise Watson of Tennessee. Beulah passed away when Virginia was three years old, leaving her father to raise her. He later married Mattie Moody Griffin of Savannah. Virginia married Homer Dock Williamson in Savannah, Ga.on March 2, 1941. They had a son Charles Eugene Williamson and two daughters, Beverly Diane Williamson and Debra Cherise Williamson. They were divorced in 1963. She went on to Nursing School at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. graduating in 1967 as a Registered Nurse. This had been her life long dream. She remarried to Erwin Arthur Bordner of Beloit, Wi. having a son Erwin Arthur Bordner, Jr. She divorced from Erv in 1973 in Lawrence Co., Tn.She moved to Houston, Texas where she continued working as a RN. There she met the love of her life, John Robert Gebhardt. They were married on July 18,1975 in Lufkin, Tx. They lived in Texas for the next 13 years, moving to Lincoln, Nebraska and to St. Peters, Mo. They moved back to Savannah, Ga. in Dec. 1992. She lived in Savannah and Richmond Hill up until she passed in 2004.
