Connie Massey Wallace, 82, of Charlotte, passed away June 14, 2011 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle, NC where she had lived the past six years.
She was born July 2, 1928 in Union County, NC, one of seven children to the late Arrow Massey and Flossie Helms Massey.
Connie was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, sister and grandmother who graciously lived a life of service to her family.
The Wallace family will greet friends 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Pastors Brandon Bowers and Tony Creel, NewLife Church of Locust, NC, officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Wallace is survived by her daughter, Nancy Wallace McDaniel and husband, Kenny of Locust, NC; four grandchildren: Matthew Wallace, Elizabeth Clark, Christopher Clark and Hannah Clark; two brothers: Kenneth Massey and wife, Lorna of Norwood, NC and Wayne Massey and wife, Janet of Rock Hill, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by an infant son, David Wallace, a son, Victor Wallace, III, and her husband, Vic Wallace, Jr. and two brothers and two sisters: Cecil Massey, Sr., Dot Fields, Louie Massey and Nancy Gray.
Memorials may be made in remembrance of Mrs. Wallace to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North 1st Street, Albemarle, NC 28001-3350.
