Greatly Shocked--Monday afternoon this community was greatly shocked by the announcement of the death of L.F. Abbott, familiarly known as Ford Abbott. He has been a sufferer for two years with that insidious malady, known as Brights disease of the kidneys, and about ten days prior to his death he went to see a doctor at or near Nebraska City. A telegram was received in the morning that he was worse and this was followed up with notice of his death. The funeral will be held at the Universalist church tomorrow at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev Snook. An obituary notice will appear next week. CLARINDA HERALD, Clarinda, Iowa, 22 Feb 1888
