MURRAY, Ky. -- Services for Dorothy M. Cathcart Kernell, 75, of Murray were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Eric Kelleher officiating. Burial was in Murray Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Kernell died at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday December 20, 2006 at Murray-Calloway County Hospital of natural causes.
A native of Christian County, she was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Suzi Downey of Murray and Melody Enoch of Hazel; three sons, Steven Orten of Hopkinsville, Robin Orten of Lockhart, Texas, and Kevin Kernell of Maryville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Two step sons Mike and David Kernell of Laurens S. C and 3 step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Robert Orten and Clayton H. Kernell; three sisters; and four brothers. Her parents were Odie Clarence Cathcart and Lula May Orr Cathcart.
