Missoulian, Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Eileen Blodgett Sheridan. MISSOULA - Our beloved mom, Eileen Blodgett Sheridan, 90, passed away peacefully at Community Medical Center surrounded by her family Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005. She was born Jan. 14, 1915, in Hamilton, the daughter of Newman and Margaret Blodgett. Blodgett Canyon was named after her grandfather who was a pioneer settler. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1934 and then worked at the seed house in Hamilton. Eileen married William Sheridan in Twin Falls, Idaho. They had many wonderful years of marriage until Bill's passing. After moving to Missoula in 1937, Eileen was a homemaker until Bill and Eileen opened Bill's Dental Lab in 1949. They worked for 49 years together in the dental lab. Their son Phil worked with them for 25 years and their grandson Mike Bray for 12 years. Eileen was a member of the United Methodist Church. Most of all Mom loved being with her family, shopping and family dinners. Eileen and Bill enjoyed their many trips to Hawaii and all the holidays. Her daughter, Mary Jean, took wonderful care of Eileen and Bill for many years. She is a very devoted daughter. Eileen's family was her whole life. We will all miss her and loved her so very much.

Mom was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill on Dec. 16, 2001; parents Newman and Margaret Blodgett; nine brothers, Clyde, Lawrence, Hallie, Lyman, Max, Art, Dude, Ted and Bernard; two sisters, Blanch Sheridan and Ila Lovell; and son-in-law Roy E. Bray.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Jean Bray; son Max Philip Sheridan (Diane); eight grandchildren, Patti (Kenny) Nield, Mike (Maria) Bray, Mark (LuAnn) Bray, Tym (Mark) Eide, Toney (Jamie) Sheridan, Tad Sheridan, Matt (Kelly) Sheridan and Melissa (Brad) Nordberg; great-grandchildren Mykell (Rob) Wallace, Stephanie (Josh) Rollins, Traci (Joe) Fulford, Alec and Devin Bray, Connor, Sara and Keegan Bray, Brittany, Lyndsey and Markie Eide, Josh and Cody Sheridan, Trevor and Taylor Sheridan, Derek and Dylan Nordberg, and Cody and Kaden Sheridan; great-great-grandchildren Byron, Madison and Dylan Rollins, MaKenna Fulford and Brayden Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews. We want to thank Bee Hive Homes for their tender loving care she received for the past three years. Eileen's wishes were that there would be no funeral service, but in the spring there will be a memorial at Blodgett Cemetery where she and her husband's ashes will be buried. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made in Eileen's name to the Humane Society of Western Montana, 5930 Highway 93 S.; or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Garden City Funeral Home.
