Daughter of Samuel Stephen and Emma(Boda) Taylor. Ileane married James R. McElwee on 19 August 1958 in Logan county Ohio.
Ileane was a music teacher for many years, directing the Lakeview schools music program in Logan county, Ohio before moving to Arizona. At her passing she was directing music programs in Payson, Arizona, in the school system there and also directed the local Rim Civic Orchestra.
