He was born Oct. 13, 1914 in Sheboygan, a son of John and Elizabeth Herman Diener. His marriage to Marcella Keller took place Nov. 14, 1942 at Brillion.
He had been employed by Brillion Iron Works from 1940 until retirement in 1975. Mr. Diener was a member of St. Peter Lutheran church in Hilbert, the Hilbert Senior Citizens, Chilton Eagles No. 1288 and a former Member of the Hilbert Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Alan of R. 4, Chilton; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Emily Kuhl of Sheboygan, Mrs. Ida Harward of New Holstein, Mrs. Marie Lemke and Mrs. Emma Heimerl, both of Hilbert; a brother, Gottlieb of Reedsville.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet; a son, John E. Deiner; and two sisters.
The funeral was Thursday at St Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert with the Rev. Gene Kangas, pastor, officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery of Brillion.
