Wife of Johann Heinrich Eberhard "Henry" Bornheimer of Gau-Bickelheim, Rhine-Hessen (Memorial #251407851), who died 16 Feb 1866 in Waukesha, Wis., probably at the home of his daughter Mrs. Magdalena Rauh (based on the newspaper notice).

Anna Maria Stahl was also born in Gau-bickelheim, Rhine-Hessen. In 1844 they emigrated with their 3 of their 4 children. The parents, with Johann Franz, Magdalena (NOT "Helen"), and Anna Maria, sailed from Rotterdam, arriving in New York City on Oct. 25th.

Daughter Elisabeth Bornheimer, b. 22 Apr 1842, d. 25 Mar 1844; Catholic parish records of Gau-Bickelheim, Landkreis Alzey-Worms, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

The Bornheimers came directly to New Berlin Township, in Waukesha County, Wisconsin where they purchased plots land to make up their farm.

After Heinrich's death the New Berlin property was sold and Anna Maria moved to 657 Jackson St., in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Milwaukee, with Elizabeth, Catherine, Phillip, and Henry. Court docs. show her required filing to be financial guardian of her minor children

Among those buried in this Bornheimer & Stahl family plot with Anna Maria are her daughters: Mrs. Elizabeth Kridler, Mrs. Catherine Amberg, Mrs. Anna Maria Schwartz, Mrs. Magdalena Rauh Salb, and Mrs. Adelheid Roos; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
