Lewis Gordon Lundy was born near Weatherford, Oklahoma on August 17, 1913 to L.J. and Mary Lundy. He passed away October 11, 1992. On August 10, 1942, he was married to May Shannon. He was a graduate of Weatherford High School, Southwestern State University and the University of Oklahoma. As a veteran of World War II, he was listed as Administrative NCO, TSMG Expert with Company M 134th Infantry Regiment 35th Infantry Division which served in the Central European Theater where he received the American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon, one Bronze Star and WWII Victory Medal. He retired from the Oklahoma City Public Schools in 1976 and spent the next 15 years teaching at Speck Homes for Boys. Mr. Lundy was a member of May Avenue Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, May, of the home; many nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday, October 15, 1992, at 2:20 p.m. at Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper with burial in Rose Hill, Oklahoma City.
