Dora Hamlett Durham, age 81, formerly of Worthville St., Randleman died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at North Pointe Assisted Living Community, Randleman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 1:00pm at Flag Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
Mrs. Durham was born August 5, 1929 in Caswell County to Charlie and Cornelia "Neely" Hutchinson Hamlett. She was retired from J. P. Stevens. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Durham was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Durham and son, Roger Dale Durham.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Durham and his wife Clara of Asheboro, David Durham and his wife Colleen of Trinity, Mike Durham and his companion Cecile York of Sophia; daugther-in-law, Debra Durham of Randleman, ; grandchildren, Julie Davis and her husband Ryan, Jennifer Board and her husband Joshua, Sharon Coble and her husband Victor, Brian Durham and his wife Missy, Chris Durham and his wife Lisa, Michele Blakely and her husband Burt, Dale Durham, Melinda Emmons and her husband Jeff; great grandchildren, Jackson Davis, Reagan Davis, Joshua Coble, Jasmine Coble, Savannah Durham, Luke Durham, Kaleb Durham, Lukas Blakely, Isaac Blakely, Ashley Durham, Justin Emmons, Abigail Emmons; great great grandchild, Ayden Coble.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at the home of Charles Durham, Wedge Place, Asheboro.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of North Pointe Assisted Living and Hospice of Randolph for the care given Mrs. Durham during her illness.
