Thelma Aldine Barker, 79, of Washington, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 1990, in Washington Hospital.
She was born September 20, 1910, in Washington County, a daughter of Archie L. and Mary Burt Carroll.
Mrs. Barker was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
On November 20, 1926, in Washington, she married Arthur Stewart Barker Sr., who died October 1, 1987.
Surviving are two brothers, John W. Carroll of Dallas, W.Va., and Robert D. Carroll of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Howard and Mary DuVall, both of Washington, and Emily Shrader of Amity; two grandsons, Thomas E. and Robert Barker; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Deceased are one son, Arthur S. Barker Jr.; three sisters, Marguerite Clovis, Cecelia Bristor and Barbara Dougherty; and one great-granddaughter.
Barker - Friends of Thelma Aldine Barker of Washington, who died Sunday, June 10, 1990, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, with the Rev.
