Age 39 of Otis, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at her residence. She was a lifelong area resident and worked in sales. Michele was a member of the Parents Athletes Association at Michigan City Schools and many Parent Organization. She was born in Gary, Indiana on August 22, 1963 to John Hill and Delfina Mendoza, who both survive of Portage, Indiana. She was married on June 26, 1982 to the late Barry Tkachik. She is survived by her sons, Nicholas and Timothy Tkachik of Otis, Indiana; brother, John (Kathi) Hill of Portage, Indiana; sisters, Mary (Harry) Hill-Sutherland of Bettendort, Iowa and JoAnn (Howard Jr.) Spero of Spokane, Washington; brother-in-law, William R. Dakin of Portage; grandmothers, Agnes C. Hill and Helen Eclarin both of Portage. She was preceded in death by her brother Mark Hill; sister, Jean Dakin and grandfathers, Troy J. Hill and Eugene Eclarin.
Funeral services wil be held Monday, February 24, 2003 at Nativity of Our Savior Church, Rev. William O'Toole officiating. Interment in the Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel in charge of arrangements.
