Calvin Burton Dies of Pneumonia Tuesday
Funeral services fro Calvin Burton, who died Tuesday of bronchial pneumonia, was held Thursday afternoon from the chapel of the Hominy Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. J. Chapman officiated.
Mr. Burton who was a retired farmer and a Union solider in the Civil War, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ira Ingle, 16 miles east of Hominy, following a six weeks' illness. He was born in Indiana, but had made his home in this community for the past quarter of a century.
Survivors include one son Geo. Burton, four daughters, Mrs. Laura Denton, and Miss Bertha Burton of Coweta, Mrs. Kate Bristol of Wagoner and Mrs. Aleta Ingle, with whom he made his home, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Interment was made in the local cemetery.
