Mrs. Tona Ackerman, 87m, died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Livingston County Nursing Home at Pontiac.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Froelich Memorial Home and at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. M. L. Bomhoff officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.

She wad born Feb. 18, 1874, in Adams County, the daughter of Everett and Antje Bruns Baumann. She was married to Harm H. Ackerman on April 29, 1896, AT Flanagan.

He survives, with two sons, Herman, Deshler, Ohio; Lambert, McComb, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Herman (Rena) Hinrichs, Deshler, Ohio; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and four sisters.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society of that church.
