John Daniel Bolling, son of Jeremiah "Little Jerry" Bolling and Providence (Short) Bolling, married Melvina Jane (Craft) Bolling, the daughter of Archelous Craft, Jr. and Nancy Jane (Polly) Craft, in about 1859.

They had the following children: VanBuren A., Mary Eliza, Nancy Louisa, Reuben Mack David, John Preston, Martha E., Roalice A., Archelius Cheed, Jeremiah Eslin, Tabitha E., Margaret and Eaverly E. "Eva".

John D. Bowling was born 9/22/1837, died 3/4/1906. He was married to Winnie Craft; they had 13 children, 4 boys, 9 girls. He joined the Baptist Church in 1867. He was Clerk of Mt. Zion Church. Written by J. C. Swindall.

He died in Pound [Wise County, VA] per his widow. He served in Co.B,7th Confederate Cavalry Battalion. Information from Scott Hutchison, note in editorial bracket from me.
