Gwyn Call, 80, at his home in Idaho Falls under the care of Aspen Hospice. He was born in Pocatello, one of nine children of Rosco Cyril and Hazel Hill Call. He graduated from Pocatello High School, where he played on the 1941 State Championship football team. He served in the Navy during World War II, where his ship escorted troops and supplies.

In 1947 he married Juanita Jones Gardner and they were later divorced. In 1967 he married Lula Wilkins Sargent. They lived for a short time in Ucon, then moved to their current home in Idaho Falls in 1968. He has worked in various fields, but was best known as a butcher. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various callings. He has been active for many years in the American Legion Forty and Eight. He enjoyed family activities and playing golf.

Survived included his wife Lula Call, and three stepsons: Neil (Marilyn) Sargent of Iona; Lynn (JoAnn) Sargent of Idaho Falls; Van (LarRene) Sargent of Idaho Falls; and Jack Gardner of Las Vegas, Nevada; Brother: Cyril [Maude] Call of Kemmerer, WY; Sister: Norma [Lee] Bettis of Pocatello; 21 grandchildren, and 55 great grand children

He was preceded by stepson Newell Sargent; brothers Elwin, Tharrell, and Max Call; and sisters Beulah Nichols, Lola Pratt, and Velma Call. Services held October 16, 2003, at Idaho Falls Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, Bishop Kerry Holmgren officiating. Burial in Ucon Cemetery directed by Wood Funeral Home
