Jack was the son of John Kirkwood Rife and Era Pearl Rife. He married Marie Evelyn Jones on June 20, 1947. They had 2 daughters, Beth and Miki. Beth died in an automobile accident in 1980. Evelyn died in 2000. As of 2015 living descendents include a daughter, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
