Mary was born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mitchell. She attended Booker T. Washington School and was a member of Anderson Chapel Church, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mary's interest and form of relaxation was spending time with friends and going to bingo. She loved children and some would in turn call her mom.
In 1979, Mary moved to Schertz, Texas to relocate with her employer, Retama Polo Center, which allowed her to travel all over the country.
Her family was very important to her. She was in and out of the hospital and even there she made friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Ed Mitchell. Those who remain to cherish her memory are husband, Robert D. Masters; children, James Henry and Ruby Wilson both of Schertz; Ruthie Davis, Denver, Co., Darrell Masters, Sioux City, Iowa; brothers, James and Rev. Bobby J. Mitchell of Wichita Falls,Clarence Mitchell, Duncan, Oklahoma; sisters, Mary Mackey, Sarah Beaver and Louise Willis of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
