Daughter of Mary "Polly" Kirkland and Bryant Sholar, early settlers of Alabama. She married William Edmund Bradley in 1860, and they immediately moved into the home Mr. Bradley had built on Doswell Street in Abbeville. A son, William Canty Bradley, was born in 1861 and died the next year. Another son, Sterling Price Bradley, was born in 1863.

The Bradleys were members of the Abbeville Methodist Church, and gave the lot across from their home for construction of the church building, completed in 1896. When W E Bradley died, his family gave the memorial stained glass window to the church in his memory.
