Richard T. Kiger,72, of Waynesburg, PA died September 11, 2001, in Washington Hospital. He was born November 27, 1928, in Waynesburg, PA, a son of Holland and Edith Phillips Kiger.
Mr. Kiger was a 1946 graduate of Waynesburg High School and served in the US Air Force during WWII.
He worked as a plant operator for Western Pennsylvania Water Co. For more than 40 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the Washington Street UM Church and Utility Workers Union of America, local 537.
On October 13, 1950, he married Ruth Arlene Zollars, who died September 3, 1984.
Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Everly, of Kingwood, WV and Linda Rohanna of Waynesburg; a sister, Betty White of Waynesburg, and a brother , Jack Kiger, of Meadowlands, PA. A sister Janice Kiger Berdine is deceased.
