NICHOLASVILLE - Clyde Fouts, 82, widower of Lavada Caudill Fouts, died Sat Sep 15, 2007. He was born March 29, 1925 in Cornettsville, KY to the late Henry Bradley and Alta Caudill Fouts. Clyde was a member and deacon of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, a decorated Army Veteran of WW II receiving three Purple Hearts, Four Bronze Stars and one Oak Leaf Cluster and member of the DAV. Survivors are three children, Charles (Barbara) Dixon, TX, Marge (Glenn) Smith, Garrard Co., Linda (Wayne) Becknell, Jessamine Co., five grandchildren, Greg (Veronica) Becknell, Jessamine Co., Lisa Rigolo, Scott (Beverly) Morris, Laura (Pacer) Metzenberg and Kevin (Marsha) Becknell, all of Nicholasville, nine great grandchildren, a son in law, Bobby Becknell, Nicholasville, three sisters, Mabel Caudill, Pike Co., Polly Collins and Phyllis Caudill, Letcher Co., a brother, Frank Fouts, Casey Co., and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Marie Becknell, a granddaughter, Sheri Dixon and a great grandson, Benjamin Grant Becknell. Services will be 11am Tue at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Basil Hall, Rev. Bobby Becknell and Rev. Dewayne Brewer officiating with burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8pm Mon at Betts & West Funeral Home and 10am Tue until time of service at the church. Bearers will be Greg, Kevin and Bryan Becknell, Scott Morris, Pacer Metzenberg and Wayne Taylor. Honorary bearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class and Deacons of the Church.
