LUXEMBURG: HENRY J. HAEN, 82, farmer here for many years, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday at a Green Bay hospital of an illness of four months. Mr. Haen formerly operated the Haen farm, which had been in the family for 98 years. It is now operated by a grandson. Donald. He was born Sept. 1, 1875 and married Susan Grovogel at Jacksonport June 8, 1897. He operated the farm until 11 years ago, when he moved to the Institute, Door county; and since last July made his home with a daughter at Luxemburg. His wife died in July 1950. He was a member of St. Mary's Holy Name society, Luxemburg and was a gold star member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Surviors are four sons; WILLIAM, Luxemburg, HARRY and AUGUST, Mishicot and CLARENCE, Sturgeon Bay; four daughters, MRS. RAY (RUTH) DEXHEIMER, Sturgeon Bay, MRS. BEN (MARIE) SALENTINE and MRS. ROBERT (CLARE) RUECKL, Luxemburg and MRS. MARTIN (JOHANNA) CHERNEY, Denmark; 18 grandchildren and 23 -great-grandchildren.
A solem requiem Mass wa said at St. Mary's church at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. John Haen, St. Anna, Wis., a nephew of the deceased, was the celebrant, and was assitted by the Rev. Alfred Hietpas, Freedom, and the Rev. Willliam G. Hemauer pastor of St. Mary's church.. Burial was in the church cemetery.
