The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 3, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kathryn, with Rev. Brad Edin officiating. Interment will be in Waldheim Cemetery near Kathryn.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home and one hour before services in the church.
Rosella Swenson was born Nov. 19, 1911, at Kathryn, the daughter of Swen and Ragna (Larson) Swenson. She grew up and attended school there.
She married Joe Strand and the couple lived at Kathryn. She later married Conrad Jacobson in Valley City in 1937. The couple lived in Kathryn. Rosella worked for a time at the Land O’ Lakes Plant in Valley City. Mr. Jacobson died Jan. 13, 1965. Rosella continued to make her home in Kathryn. In 1969 she moved to Enderlin and in August of 1997 she became a resident at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.
Rosella was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kathryn.
Survivors are seven children, Mavis (Charles) Johnson, Coos Bay, OR; Arlene (Jim) Jones, Kathryn; Patsy Wolfe, Jamestown; LeRoy (Bev) Jacobson, Arizona; Ronald (Karen) Jacobson, Mandan; Connie (Dale) Jensen, Park River; and Larry Jacobson, Kathryn; a sister Luella Roe, Salem, OR; 24 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
