Addie "Tommie" Lee Burgess, 82, died at her home in Port Orchard on October 18, 2009. She was born February 5, 1927 in Sherwood, Texas to Lee & Addie (Epley) Trantham. She married Lawrence "Larry" Burgess on January 1, 1950 in Austin, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2007. Tommie retired as a Dietician at Valley General Hospital in Renton. She enjoyed arts & crafts, sewing, camping and traveling in her motor home. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Port Orchard. Surviving are sons Joe, David, Michael & Tracy Burgess; brothers Charlie, Maurice & Carl Trantham; grandchildren Jodi Marie, Jami Sue & Traci Jo; great-grandchildren Makyna Sue, Landyn Michael, Carlitos Javier, Tayden Lawrence, Sophia Katherine, Chaitanya Camille, Kaelie Elizabeth & Chelsea LeeAnn. Tommie made friends everywhere she went and was loved greatly by all who knew her. Public viewing will be Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Grace Bible Church in Port Orchard. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
