Al passed away on Nov. 10, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital. He lost his short battle to cancer.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Sandy (Gehring) of the home, children: Al. Jr., Rick (DeeDee), Dave (Heidi), Rhonda, Bryan (Debbie), Ed, and Chireen (Jack), grandchildren: Tom, Chris, Brad, Jeremiah, Amber, Stephen, Conrad, Bryan II, J.J., Nicole, and John, brother Bud, two great grandchildren, Austyn and Kelsi Abernathy.
Preceded in death by granddaughter Dawn (26 yrs old) and grandson James (32 days old), as well as parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Al retired from Commenement Bay Corrugated after 30 plus years. He also coached little league & NEAA sports for many years.
Al & Sandy were together for 50 plus years.
