Hattie was born May 22, 1857, in Wis., daughter of William H. Maxson, born May 19, 1813 in New York and his wife Harriet Louisa Maxon, born Feb. 11, 1835, in Middlebury County, Ohio. Hattie died May 9, 1930, in Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minn., and her remains were returned to Barron, and buried there beside those of her husband in Wayside Cemetery.

On Oct. 20, 1875, Hattie became the third wife of William Henry Hogeboom at Albion Twp., Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. William was born Feb. 16, 1840, in Johnstown, Fulton County, New York, son of Cornelius Hogeboon, born in Holland and Sarah Baker, born in New York. He died Jan. 9, 1904, at Barron, of Bright's disease, aged 62 years, 10 months and 23 days and was buried there in Wayside Cemetery. His gravestone is inscribed on the front "Wm H. Hogeboom B. Feb. 16, 1840 D. Jan. 9, 1904." and on the back "At Rest Co. F. 37th Wis. Vol. Hogeboom." No children.

Mrs. Hattie Hogeboom, widow of Wm. Hogeboom who died here about 26 years ago, died May 9 at Golden Valley near Minneapolis, Minn., at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 17 days.

She is survived by two brothers, Austin and Charles Maxson of St. Paul, Minn., two sisters, Mrs. Etta Carey of Golden Valley and Mrs. Nellie Toy of Rice Lake, and a half sister, Mrs. James Adlard of Browns Valley, Minn.

Mrs. Hogeboom left Barron about 10 years ago after living here for many years. Her remains were brought to this city and funeral services were held at the Baptist church on Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Mr. Knutson of St. Paul, Minn., officiating. Mrs. John Lemler of Rice Lake and Mrs. Otto Klein of this city sang. Interment was made at Wayside cemetery.
