Obituary
Lynn Maxon was born at Baraboo on Feb. 4, 1869. For a time he resided at Augusta but soon removed from there to Barron where he lived for over forty years.
June 10, 1902, he was united in marriage to Mae Merrill at this city. In the winter of 1926 the family removed to St. Paul, Minn. He passed from this life at Ancker hospital, St. Paul, on July 16, 1928, after an illness of two months, but had been ailing for the last seven years of his life.
His wife and two daughters, Mrs. Clara Cooey of St. Paul and Vivian Maxon of St. Luke's hospital, St. Paul, remain to mourn his loss, also four sisters, Mrs. Adlard of Brown's Valley, Minn., Mrs. Hattie Hogeboom of St. Paul, Mrs. Etta Carey of Robbinsville, Minn., and Mrs. Nellie Toy of Rice Lake, and three brothers, V. C. of Rice Lake, Austin and Charles H. Maxon, both of St. Paul.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in this city on Friday afternoon, the Rev. L. M. Clark officiating and interment was made at Wayside cemetery. [Thursday, July 26, 1928, Barron County News-Shield, Barron, Wisconsin.]
