Bud Tilton was the son of William Ferrell and Eileen Neely Tilton. He was born in Jasper Co., MO on May 3, 1941. The year before he was born, the family had lost a baby girl, Wilma and in 1943 they lost a son also. Both siblings as well as Ferrell and Eileen are buried in Park Cemetery. Bud was a graduate of Carthage High School, class of 1959. He served in Viet Nam. He married Betty Ann Hall in Bowie, Maryland, May 29, 1969. They moved back to Carthage where Bud worked for his dad. Bud died in a construction accident May 20, 1974 near Butler, MO. Services for him was held at the First Baptist Church, Carthage. He belonged to Bethany Baptist Church. Besides his wife and parents, Bud was survived by an infant daughter, Kallie DeAnn and other siblings.
