North Ogden – Loren Fred LaRose, 91, died July 6, 2011. He was born November 28, 1919 in Ft. Duchesne, Utah to Carnes and Bertha Christensen LaRose. He was raised in Whiterocks, Utah. Loren married Mary Ilene Elmer on May 6, 1939 in Vernal, Utah; later solemnized in the SLC Temple. He served in the Army during WWII.

Loren was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed attending church and spending time with the members.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a very good baseball pitcher and told great tales.

Loren is survived by his children, Garry (Cindy) LaRose, Robert (Sandra) LaRose, Joyce (Don) Johnson, Karen (Vonn) Davis; 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; 2 sons, Loren and Larry; one grandson; a great-grandson; a sister and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the North Ogden 22nd Ward, 2850 No. 900 E.

Friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Monday at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
