Carnes LaRose, 78, Altonah, died Wednesday of last week of natural causes in the Uintah County Hospital.
He was born November 22, 1892 in Wyoming to Fred and Betty Serille LaRose. November 22, 1915, he married Bertha Christensen in Vernal. Mr. LaRose was a retired farmer and former baseball player.
Survivors included his widow; sons, Norman, Altonah, Fred, Ogden; Ken, Altamont; foster daughter, Mrs. Van (Leona) Jensen, Kearns; 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Brother, sisters, Raymond James, Randlett; Mae Green, Ella Randell, Fort Hall, Idaho.
Services were held Saturday at the Whiterocks Episcopal Church. Burial was in the Fort Duchesne Cemetery.
