MRS. H. D. BURGER IS TAKEN
She Was 86; The Service Is Today.
Mrs. Anna Burger, widow of H. D. Burger, died Monday night at her home north of Seneca. She was a Steinmeir. She was a life-time resident of this county, having been born in Seneca September 17, 1868.

The funeral service is being held at 2:30 this afternoon at the Thornburg Funeral Home, Seneca, and burial will be at the Seneca city cemetery.

Six daughters and one son survive Mrs. Burger, also three brothers, two sisters, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

The children are Miss Gladys of the home, Mrs. Lola Patterson of Emporia, Mrs. Leslie Brown of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Emily Johnson of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Christine Childers of Arlington Heights, W. Va., Mrs. Helen Gudenkauf of Seneca and Harry Burger of the home. C. A. Steinmeir of Baileyville, L. E. Steinmeir of Kansas City, Kansas, and George H. Steinmeir of Seneca are her brothers, and the sisters are Mrs. John Fuller of Goodland and Mrs. Ralph Sherman of Reno, Nevada.

Mrs. Burger was a fine woman, of outstanding character, and the family has long been known for its progressiveness in farming. When Mr. and Mrs. Burger established the Burger purebred Holstein cattle herd, it was the first such herd in Kansas.
